Social media users have mocked the remarks by a senior Iranian commander, who said Iran will ‘raze Tel Aviv’.
In previous remarks, Brigadier-General Yadollah Javani, a commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said “if they [United States] attack us, we will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground.”
The Facebook users mocked the remarks saying Israel bombards the IRGC sites in Syria three times a week, while Iran does nothing other than making remarks.
They also added that the Iranian regime’s policies and ideologies will definitely collapse as its leaders have their beliefs from the dark centuries. Such thoughts do not conform with the modern world.
The anger in Iran, according to the users, is growing and will reach to a point that the regime will be unable to control.
The activists wondered that it took the world four years to recognize the mistake of reluctance with Iran and its militias in the region. They also wondered if the world realized how the Saudi decision to prevent the Houthi-Iranian coup in Yemen saved the world from catastrophic consequences.
The Baghdad Post observed some of the comments on Facebook. An account by Nabil al-Iraqi al-Iraqi says “the raze takes place only in dreams,” while Khamis al-Jumeily says “Iran is just about heros in Indian movies.”
