Head of Iraqi National Alliance, a Shiite parliamentary bloc, Amar al-Hakim arrived late Saturday in Tehran leading a delegation of his alliance members on an official visit to Iran.
In a brief statement released Saturday night, Hakim's office said the Shiite bloc leader's visit to Iran aimed at attaining Iran's "important" support for the political settlement he would propose after the end of battles against Daesh terrorist group.
Several political bodies in Iraq have rejected the proposed "political settlement" by al-Hakim and described it as "not real" and only meant to make a media propaganda.
