Masoud Barzani, head of the Kurdistan
Democratic Party (KDP), has discussed with a high level delegation from the US
Department of State, the updates in the region and the threats ISIS poses, during
their meeting in Erbil.
The US delegation included David Satterfield, the Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs; Joey Hood, the US charge d'affaires in Iraq; Steven Fagin, the US consul-general in Erbil, and Paul LaCamera, commander of US operations in Iraq and Syria.

During the meeting, "we spoke of the latest political developments and the ongoing efforts to eradicate the terrorists of [ISIS]," Barzani said in a tweet.
The two sides also stressed that ISIS still poses a threat to security and stability in Iraq, Syria and the whole region, a statement by the KDP read.
