Member of Parliament Furat al-Tamimi has warned against the ‘heated’ borders between Diyala and Baghdad, indicating occurrence of ISIS militants there.
In a statement, Tamimi said “the agricultural regions stretching between Diyala and Baghdad, especially near south of Bahraz and Kanaan regions have seen violence in the vicinity of villages where Shamar tribes are located. Dormant cells of ISIS have carried out the violence there, last of which was targeting a policeman there.”
Tamimi added “the borders between Diyala and Baghdad could turn into a security issue that threatens both provinces, especially if left with no solution.”
Tamimi urged necessity to deploy troops there to watch and bring to law ISIS sleeper cells.
