Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abd al-Mahdi has praised the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, saying they are "in the best shape."
In remarks during a press conference in Paris on Friday after meeting with President Emmanuel Macron, Abd al-Mahdi added that there are still remaining differences between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, but that the relations between the two sides have been improving however, they are contained in important frameworks of dialogue and discussion.
"We can solve many problems in Sinjar and Nineveh, in oil issues and in border crossings," he said.
He went on saying that "we have a single unified tariff customs all over Iraq because of the consensus that has been achieved among all the political forces [of the country].”
In February, the federal and regional governments reached an agreement to help standardize the movement of goods at the border crossings.
