President Barham Salih said on Saturday that the summit of
parliaments of neighboring countries in Baghdad is an indication that the
stability of Iraq is a common regional interest.
Salih called for Iraq to be the basis of a regional system based on common security and economic integration.
"With this summit, we are winning together to counter extremism and violence," he said. "Our people deserve sustained cooperation and coordination among our nations to secure peace and a decent life."
