Iraqi Ministry of Planning
The Ministry of Planning announced Monday adding 426 Iraqi companies and contractors to the “blacklist.”

Spokesperson of the ministry, Abdel-Zahra Al-Hendawi said the decision was taken due to the lack of commitment by these companies and individuals to the contracts they inked with beneficiaries.

He also added that blacklisting these companies came at the request of the contracting parties with the companies after provided the necessary documents and evidence that the contractual obligations were not adhered to.

It is noteworthy that most of the governorates have been suffering for years from major lack and deterioration in services, including electricity, drinking water, sanitation, traffic and security.

In 2017, Zahra said in press remarked that the ministry developed a 10-year plan to reconstruct the provinces hit by terrorism over the past five years.
