During separate meetings on Thursday with Iraqi President Barham Salih, former president Fuad Masum and National Wisdom Movement leader Ammar al-Hakim, Masjedi reviewed the latest positions of Tehran, including on the recent US move against the Revolutionary Guards.
During these meetings, a report was presented on President Rouhani's visit to Baghdad and the visit of Prime Minister Adil Abd al-Mahdi to Tehran. He added that the two visits were interrelated, as the issues raised during Rouhani's visit to Baghdad were activated during Abd al-Mahdi's visit to Tehran.

"It was necessary to convey the positions and views of Iran, as well as their expectations from Iraqi friends and parties," Masjedi said.
On Monday, US President Donald Trump added Iran's Revolutionary Guards to the terrorism list.
