US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has described Iranian Commander of IRGC's Quds Force Qassim Suleimani as a "terrorist", adding that he will be considered the same as ISIS and other jihadist groups leaders.
"He’s a terrorist. Qassem Suleimani has the blood of Americans on his hands, as do the forces he leads," Pompeo told US broadcaster, Fox, as quoted by The National.
"America is determined each time we find an organisation, institution or an individual that has taken the lives of individuals, it is our responsibility to reduce that risk," he added.
Both Washington and Tehran have already designated each other's armies as terrorist organisations, accusing each other of supporting terrorism in the Middle East.
