Researcher Amjad Taha, who is a regional director at the British Middle East Center for Studies and Research (BMCSR), said that Qatari Emir Tamim Bin Hamad had called for meeting Saudi King Salman Bin Abul Aziz Al Saud in Tunisia during the Arab Summit.
In a tweet, Taha added that Tamim's request was withdrawn by the Saudi monarch.
Tamim used four different mediators to transfer his request but their reply was that he must travel to Riyadh in presence of the leaders of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE and to apologize for them in front of all media outlets.
Taha added that Tamim can't deny that that is what happened in Tunis.
Earlier, Tamim left the opening session of the Arab Summit that was held in Tunisia in which observers have condemned him over such act.
Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain had boycotted the tiny country, saying that its regime is supporting and funding terrorism in the Middle East as well as interfering in other countries' internal affairs.
