Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has praised the Afghan fighters, who were killed in Syria war under Fatemiyoun Division, Iran Semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
During a meeting with the fighters’ families, Khamenei said they were more privileged as they were poorer than others. They also showed more resistance than others in the battlefields.

Over 2,000 Afghan fighters have been killed in Syria since 2013, as they were fighting under Fatemiyoun Division, which is linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps-Quds Force.
