Head of the Civil Track
Party Muthanna al-Samarrai condemned on Friday the terrorist attack against two
mosques in New Zealand, adding that an Iraqi citizen was reportedly injured
during the attack.
News has been circulated reporting
that an Iraqi engineer named Adeeb Ahmed Sami was injured while he was with his
son in one of the two mosques, Samarrai said.
He called on the Iraqi
Foreign Ministry to follow up on the injury of the reported engineer, wishing
him speedy recovery.
Forty-nine people were
killed in shootings at
two mosques in central Christchurch, New Zealand, on Friday, in
a terrorist attack that Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described as “an
extraordinary and unprecedented act of violence.”
