Iraqi President Barham Salih will visit Paris on February 26th, the French presidency announced on Thursday.
In a statement, the presidency said Salih will meet with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron then will hold a joint press conference on the first day of the visit.
The meeting, according to the statement, will be a chance for Macron to express France’s complete support to Iraq facing security challenges.
The two presidents might also tackle the issue of the French national militants, whom France demand them standing trial in Iraq, it added.
Macron will also encourage the fruitful dialogue between Baghdad and Kurdistan.
