During the meeting, Yarallah and Ambassador Sattam al-Dandah discussed joint operations in eastern Syria and reviewed the means of cooperation and coordination over the security updates between the two countries, according to a statement by Iraq's Ministry of Defense.
Dandah praised Iraq's government, army and people for supporting Syria and providing all forms of assistance at all levels, according to the statement.
Negotiations between the US and ISIS have failed, under which the US asked the terrorist group to withdraw from the Iraqi-Syrian border, an Iraqi commander said, in return for a safe exit for the families of the militants, according to a local media report.
