Iraqi parliament blamed losing millions of dollars due to corruption in the oil contracts, a member of parliament's oil committee stated Saturday.
In a statement, Haibat Ahmed, member of the parliament's Committee of Oil and Gas said "our committee will investigate all oil deals signed by the government.”
The statement indicated that the committee possesses an evidence on contracts corruption.
"We have to dig deep into the oil sector corruption, since Iraq almost lost $50 million due to flawed contracts."
Most of oil deals were signed by the previous Iraqi cabinet.
