Nine ISIS members were arrested in Sulaymaniyah province for taking part in killing and displacement of civilians and security personnel, the Security Media Center said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the center said “troops of the National Security Agency in Kirkuk received information from the intelligence, upon which it managed to locate the nine militants, against whom terrorism charges were levelled against them. They were hiding in Sulaymaniyah.”
The militants, according to the statement, “took part in killing and displacement of citizens as well as murdering of security personnel.”
The statement also indicated “coordination with security authorities, which arrested and transferred them to authorities in question in Kirkuk, so legal measures would be taken against them.”
