Iraq's Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali al-Hakim will visit Moscow on Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry has announced.
In a press briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Hakim will hold talks with his Russian counterpart on January 30 during a visit that will last until Thursday.
The visit will be the first by an Iraqi foreign minister to Moscow in his capacity as the "dean of Iraqi diplomacy", she said.
The two ministers will discuss the ongoing regional and international issues as well as the situation in Syria and Iran, Zakharova added. They will also focus on reinforcing the efforts to counter international and regional terrorism.
