The Reconstruction and Reform
Alliance has revealed a request filed by Al-Bina Alliance to its leader Hadi
Al-Amiri to withdraw the nomination of Falih Alfayyadh for Interior Ministry
and propose a replacement.
MP Badr al-Ziadi, representing the Reconstruction and Reform Alliance, said in remarks that “Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi was not accurate about proposing names after the first round, when 14 ministers were selected, ended. Problems then occurred when families of a candidate was accused of links with ISIS.”
Ziadi added that “talks about the security ministries seem to be early due to the many conflicts about the candidates.”
He also indicated that the Sunni blocs hadn’t proposed a candidate agreed on for the defense ministry.
