Shura Council of the National Council of the Iraqi Opposition announced forming a national parallel government (aka government in exile) to save Iraq from chaos sought by the Iranian regime.

Mahmoud al-Samarrai, chairman of the opposition's Shura Council said that the parallel government will be formed later, calling on the international community to support it once announced. He added that the government aims at maintaining Iraq's unity and stability.

During the conference held in Turkey's Istanbul for the opposition council, Nasser al-Janabi, former Iraqi Parliament member called for ending all forms of Iranian control of Iraq, and eliminating the influence of Iranian militias and IMIS.

Reading the final communique of the conference, Janabi referred to the influence of the escalation of US-Iranian dispute on Iraq, saying that the Iraqi government and IMIS would stand by the Iranian regime, which he affirmed would "further complicates the Iraqi scene."
