An
armed clash erupted on Wednesday between Shiite IMIS militias and a
counter-terrorism force in Kirkuk following a bomb blast that took place in the southwest of the city.
The
clashes took place near the local government's headquarters, according to a
security source and eyewitnesses, after the the arrival of the persons injured in
the blast to the hospital.
Sources
asserted that the clash erupted as a result of misunderstanding between the
IMIS militias and counter-terrorism forces, leading to verbal argument and
physical clashes.
Seven
elements of IMIS were wounded in the bomb blast on Wednesday, a security
source said, adding that the bomb targeted a patrol of the militias.
