Hakim urges Kurds to raise public interests over partisan goals

Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Alliance for Reform and Reconstruction, has tackled the political developments and the cabinet formation along with Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

A statement  by Hakim’s office said he received a delegation from KDP “to mull developments within the political scene in Iraq as well as the formation of the cabinet.”

Hakim, according to the statement, stressed the importance of “accelerating the cabinet formation so the government would fulfill the timeline of its program.” The statement also urged the necessity of raising the public interest above the "narrow-sighted" partisan interests.

Regarding the formation of the Kurdish government, Hakim said, “he aspires strong ties and cooperation between the federal and the regional governments.”
