Streets of Baghdad's International Zone were decorated with the flags of Jordan on Sunday, in preparation for King Abdullah II's visit to the Iraqi capital.

The King's visit is set to take place within the next two days, according to informed sources.

Iraqi President Barham Salih visited Amman in November at an official invitation of Jordan's King.

In 2017, King Abdullah II said that his country has no agendas in Iraq except its people's interest and stability.

He said security, economic and social challenges facing the Kingdom require all to stand together to address them, stressing the importance of upgrading security measures to deal better with any internal threat to the nation's security.
