Saudi Arabia denounced the terrorist attack which targeted a market in Qaim town, west of Iraq, on Friday.
“The kingdom reaffirms standing with Iraq against violence, terrorism
“We offer condolences to families of the victims, the government and the people of Iraq,” it added.
A car bomb blast killed at least one person and injured more than a dozen in the Iraqi town of Qaim on the Syrian border.
Iraq declared victory over ISIS in December 2017 after two years of fighting. However, ISIS militants have continued to carry out insurgent-style attacks on security forces across the country.
Qaim was recaptured from ISIS in November 2017 and was the group’s last bastion in Iraq to fall last year.
