The Arab League expressed Saturday readiness for contribution in the initiative to develop telecommunications technology in Iraq.
In a statement, the National Communications and Media Commission said the Arab League’s Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) expressed readiness to contribute within the DU3M 2025 initiative set by the NCMC in Iraq to develop the telecommunication and information technologies in Iraq.
The announcement made by AICTO, according to the NCMC, “comes at a time while the commission gets ready to launch the DU3M 2025 officially in a conference on January 14 in Babel to reveal the accomplished programs of the initiative and its future plans as well as the desired results.”
The announcement also was “preceded by a decision from the cabinet no. 94 for the year 2018 to launch it, in addition to the support from the International Telecommunication Union.”
The strategic initiative, according to the NCMC, seeks developing sectors of health, education, agriculture, bank services
The initiative will also facilitate the outreach of electronic communication at all regions and for all people including marginalized categories like the disabled and those with low incomes and the elders. Other projects will be declared in an official conference.
