715 foreigners charged with joining ISIS in 2018: Judicial Council

The Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq said that there were 715 foreigners charged with belonging to ISIS in 2018 during the occupation and liberation periods of Nineveh.

Judge Abdul Sattar Bayrkader, spokesman for the Supreme Judicial Council, said that the defendants include 616 people who were already judged, while the remaining 99 defendants are still being investigated. Bayrkader said that the defendants include males, females and minors.

Those who were proven to be belong to ISIS amounted to 508 people, Bayrkader said, adding that only 42 of them are men, while 466 people were women.

Concerning the convicted minors, Bayrkader said that they included 31 males and 77 females.
