Two Iranian members of Taliban killed in Afghanistan

Afghan forces have killed two Iranian members of the Taliban in northern Faryab province, the Afghani army said Tuesday.

The militants were identified as Ahmad and Jundullah.

They were among 29 militants who were killed during clashes, airstrikes, and supplying forces convoy on highway between Shirin Tagab and Khwaja Sabz Posh districts, Afghan army's 209 Corps said in asl statement.

The deaths include also two local Taliban commanders Nasratullah and Sadi who were killed in airstrikes, the statement.

Twenty-three more militants were injured and a Taliban hideout was destroyed, according to the statement.

Four Afghan forces were injured in the clashes, the statement said.
