Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Alliance for Reform and Reconstruction, tackled the political situation and the cabinet formation issue with Saleh al-Mutlaq, head of the Front for National Dialogue.
A statement by Hakim’s office said, “Hakim met with Mutlaq and discussed the developments of the latest developments of the political situation and the cabinet formation.”
Hakim also urged the political blocs to form the cabinet and preserve national interests. He stressed that enhancing services is an urgent need for Iraqi people, which needs to be on top of the government's priorities.
The statement highlighted the importance of investing the capabilities to achieve better living standards.
The steps for founding the Reform and Reconstruction Alliance were also discussed in order to be the first national political party that works under the institutional mechanisms.
On Monday, Hakim discussed with Haidar al-Abadi, Leader of the Victory Alliance, the latest political developments, as well as the obstacles that hinder the government formation.
