Basra Airport resumes operating after 1-hour suspension

Basra Airport announced Wednesday resuming operating flights after one hour of suspension, due to bad weather and heavy fog.

In official statement, Basra Airport administration said that it had suspended all flights to and from the airport, due to the bad weather that makes aviation impossible.

Sulaymaniyah also suspended all flights for the same reason.

Iraq witnesses unstable weather conditions on Wednesday, where rains fell in early morning accompanied with heavy fog and periodic clouds, with wind speed estimated at 18 km/h. The temperature in Baghdad recorded 14°/11°.
