A key ISIS leader was killed in an airstrike conducted by the Iraqi army on Wadi Thalab district, northeast Diyala Governorate, a security source affirmed on Sunday.
The Iraqi Air Forces
targeted a hideout belongs to ISIS, leading to the death of one of the major ISIS
leaders, as part of army’s efforts to eliminate the remnants of the terrorist
group in the country.
Iraq announced victory over ISIS by the end of 2017, after an intensified military operation to liberate the Iraqi cities from the terrorist group.
