Alliance, led by former Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi, on Friday affirmed its support for the government of Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi, while also warning against involving Iraq
in political conflicts.
Nasr Alliance held its periodical meeting headed by Abadi, where it discussed the overall political, security and economic situation in the country, the alliance's media office said in a statement.
It also discussed the completion of the government formation, the financial budget, the next legislative work and the laws that serve the various segments of the country, as well as parliamentary committees.
The meeting stressed that the alliance will work hard through its MPs to support the efforts that maintain the security and stability of the country, the reconstruction of cities in all provinces, the provision of services and employment opportunities, and the maintenance of Iraq's place in the international community.
Regarding the government formation, the alliance stressed that
although it is taking part in this government, it will work hard to make it successful and improve its work to ensure the provision of what serves citizens.
The alliance said in the statement that it is waiting for the completion of the remaining ministries and the way of choosing them in accordance with efficiency and integrity.
