Jordan's King Abdullah II discussed on Wednesday with Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Finance Fuad Hussein the expansion of economic relations between
the two countries during their meeting in Amman.
The two sides affirmed the importance of developing the distinguished brotherly relations between the two countries in various fields, according to a statement issued by the Royal Hashemite Court.
The meeting focused on opportunities to enhance cooperation between Jordan and Iraq, especially in the economic, trade, investment and energy and transport sectors.
King Abdullah II praised the success of the political process in Iraq, stressing Jordan's support for the security and stability of Iraq and Iraq's efforts to continue the process of building and progress to meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
For his part, Hussein expressed Iraq's appreciation for the stances adopted by Jordan under the leadership of King Abdullah II in support of Iraq.
