MPs of Nineveh expressed their objection to the three confirmed ministers in Adil Abdul Mahdi’s cabinet, saying they will appeal against the vote on Tuesday.

In a press conference followed the parliament’s voting session on Tuesday, lawmakers representing Nineveh Governorate, led by Ahmed al-Jabouri announced they will appeal against the voting results before the Federal Court, explaining that the voting was ‘selective’ and the session suffered from lack of quorum.

Jabouri claimed that voting on Nineveh nominee for Ministry of Education was deliberately sabotaged. She reportedly failed to get enough votes for the post.

Nuri al-Dulaimi, Qusay al-Suhail and Abdul Ameer al-Hamdani were confirmed to be ministers of Planning, Higher Education and Culture. They were approved after the Reform and Binna'a blocs agreed to allow a vote on five ministries.
