Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi expressed
keenness of the Iraqi government to develop relations with Netherlands in all
fields, including benefiting from the experience of Dutch companies in the
reconstruction efforts in Iraq.
During his meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok on Monday, Abdul Mahdi said that Iraq is on the threshold of a new era of stability and development, adding that Iraq exceeded the most serious challenges and defeated terrorism, according to Abdul Mahdi's media office.
Abdul Mahdi received Blok and the delegation accompanying him after they arrived in Erbil airport on an official visit to Kurdistan.
For his part, Blok expressed his government's keenness to enhance cooperation with Iraq in all fields, primarily the economic side, as well as its willingness to contribute actively to Iraq's reconstruction.
Blok also stressed his country's support for Iraq and its government to achieve stability and the governmental plans to meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people in achieving economic and urban prosperity.
