Hamdallah al-Rikabi, head
of Saairun Alliance's parliamentary bloc reiterated the alliance's fixed stance
toward nominating candidates for the remaining ministries, saying that security
ministries must stay away from the partisan dominance.
The issue of security ministries is one of the most important and serious files, because it concerns the fate of Iraq and its stability, Rikabi said, affirming the importance of granting the security portfolios to people of the security system, who are independent, competent and capable of managing these ministries.
Rikabi said that the "best" solution to this problem is dialogue as everyone is aware of the seriousness and sensitivity of the current stage.
Faleh al-Fayadh, the candidate of Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi, who Saairun strongly objects to, announced on Saturday his insistence to the nomination, calling at the same time Abdul Mahdi not to succumb to pressure.
