Iraq returns 207 refugees from Akda camp near Turkey

Iraq's Ministry of Migration and Displaced announced on Sunday that a new batch of Iraqis in Akda refugee camp at the Syrian-Turkish border will be returned to their homes.

Abbas Jahakir, a ministry's official said that the ministry's working teams, in coordination with the Ministry of Transport, the joint crisis management center and the security forces of Ibrahim al-Khalil crossing, have today repatriated 207 Iraqi refugees in the camp.

He added that the ministry's team distributed food aid and some necessary needs during transporting the locals to the country in coordination with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
