The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), headed by Masoud Barzani, will hold a meeting on Sunday, in Erbil to discuss the formation of the Kurdistan government.
"The KDP Political Bureau will hold a meeting on Sunday with the attendance of the leader of the party Massoud Barzani and candidates for the presidency of the Kurdistan region,” an informed source said.
The meeting will tackle the formation of the new provincial government and the outcome of negotiations between PUK and the Movement for Change (Gorran).
PUK described the ongoing negotiations with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on the formation of the Kurdistan government as complex and difficult.
PUK official Ariz Abdullah said that political negotiations that took place between the two main Kurdish powers on the formation of the government in the region were complex, noting that consensus on activating the law of presidency and the election of the president is difficult and would take a long time.
