Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohamed al-Halbousi affirmed on Friday during his meeting with Dahuk Governor Farhad Atrushi the importance of ending the problem of displaced people in the province.
Halbousi met with Atrushi to discuss the needs of the local administration in Dahuk, in addition to the issue of the reconstruction of cities, to ensure the return of the displaced locals, a statement from Halbousi's office read.
The province so far has 21 camps for the displaced, which are in need for governmental care to meet thenecessary requirements, Halbousi said, according to the statement, stressing the importance of ending the issue of displaced persons in the province.
Halbousi further stressed the need to open roads between cities to ease the suffering of citizens.
For his part, Atrushi stressed the need for communication and cooperation between Baghdad and Kurdistan, to seek and solve problems of mutual concerns.
