Kurdish delegation to meet Abdul Mahdi in January: source


A Kurdish Regional Government delegation will visit Baghdad after the New Year holiday to meet with Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi and leaders of political blocs, a source revealed.

The delegation will discuss with Baghdad's government issues launched by Kurdistan Democratic Party head Masoud Barzani, who visited Baghdad recently, to reach real understandings on outstanding issues between the two sides, the source, who preferred not to be named, said.

Barzani visited Baghdad on November 22, during which he met with Abdul Mahdi, former Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi, State of Law Coalition leader Nouri al-Maliki, National Wisdom Movement leader Ammar al-Hakim, former Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri, and Fatah Alliance leader Hadi al-Amiri, and then he met with Sadrist Movement leader Muqtada al-Sadr in Najaf.
