The Cairo Criminal Court on Wednesday sentenced leader of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood Mohamed Badie and five others to a lifetime jail term in the case of Guidance Office Incidents, the state news agency MENA reported.
The five other defendants include Rashad Bayoumi, Abdel Rahim Mohamed, Khairat el-Shater, Mahmoud Abu Zeid and Mostafa Fahmy.
Also, six other defendants were acquitted in the same case.
The charges against former MB guide Mohamed Mahdy Akef were dropped over his death.
They were facing charges of murder and attempted murder along with possession of weapons and explosive charges.
The incidents that took place in 2013 in a Cairo suburb left nine people with permanent disability for losing one eye each and 74 others beaten and injured.
