Turkey to provide rescue aids to Iraqi cities hit by floods: Ambassador

The Turkish ambassador to Iraq Fatih Yildiz announced Friday his country’s readiness to provide rescue aids to the damaged Iraqi areas by floods.

 

He declared that he has coordinated with the head of Iraqi Red Cross organization to deliver the aids to the affected areas as soon as possible.

“We are ready to help our brothers who are affected by floods in Iraq,” Yildiz stated through his official Twitter account on Friday.

At least 10 people were killed and 22 others wounded in the massive floods that hit the Shirqat area and other areas in the provinces of Salahuddin and Nineveh and southern Iraq, according to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Health.
