Saudi Arabia condemned on Wednesday the suicide
bombing in the Afghan capital of Kabul that killed at least 55 people and
wounded dozens.
Saudi Arabia rejects these cowardly acts, an
official source at the Saudi Foreign Ministry said, stressing the kingdom's
solidarity and standing alongside Afghanistan against terrorism and extremism.
The Afghan Health Ministry announced Tuesday that
55 people were killed by an explosion near an event hall on the airport road
in Kabul during a Moulid celebration.
Najib Danesh, spokesman for the Afghan Interior
Ministry, said more than 80 others were injured in the attack.
Danesh said a suicide bomber detonated
explosives inside the event hall, targeting a Moulid celebration in the attendance of senior Muslim scholars in Kabul.
