Iraq has nothing to do with US sanctions on Iran: Abdul Mahdi

Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi said on Tuesday that his government rejects any decision the US may impose on Iraq, adding that "it is true that Iraq is weak but not surrendering."

Iraq is not part of the US sanctions against Iran, Abdul Mahdi said in a press conference with a number of academic, media, technical and sports figures.

Abdul Mahdi stressed that the US is free to impose sanctions on a country or on some persons.

He said that decisions taken by the US against Iran are not international, adding that  Iraq is not part of the US system and is not part of its aggression against countries.
