Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Aryani said on his
Twitter account that a number of leaders and elements of the Houthi militia had
fallen into the hands of the Yemeni army and security services while trying to
flee from liberated areas disguised in women's clothing.
Aryani explained that this is not the first time that Houthis have disguised themselves as women in an attempt to flee capture by the Yemeni army. The terrorists’ attempts to flee in disguise have been repeated in the successive victories achieved by the armed forces, which are supported by the Arab coalition in support of legitimacy in Yemen.
The Yemeni armed forces have been able to liberate sites and mountain ranges overlooking the city of Damt in the governorate of Dhale as part of the military operation that was launched to liberate the districts of Juban and Damt from the Houthi militia, according to the information center of the Yemeni armed forces.
A military source added that the ongoing fighting resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Houthi terrorists, as well as equipment and weapons being confiscated.
The source confirmed that the fighting continues amid the national armed forces’ progress in advancing towards the city of Damt, while Houthi leaders in the city have fled towards the city of al-Radhma.
