Jordan's industry minister announced during meetings with Iraqi officials his country's desire to establish a permanent trade center in Iraq.

Tariq Hammouri and the Iraqi sides have agreed on a number of mechanisms to
enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, especially through
stimulating the private sector to establish investment projects.
Hammouri said in a press statement on Tuesday that the meetings held in Baghdad stressed the importance of exerting joint efforts to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting also discussed establishing a permanent Jordanian trade center in Baghdad, Hammouri said. Moreover, the meetings of the joint ministerial committee were agreed to be held during the first quarter of the next year.
