Amer al-Fayez, a former MP and a
member of al-Fatah coalition, said Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi rushed
forming his government lineup, due to pressures by political powers.
Al-Fayez said in press remarks, "Pressures by political powers forced the Prime Minister to rush presenting his cabinet in a hurry and did not take enough time for study."
The Iraqi Parliament convened to vote on the new cabinet and government program, only approving 14 ministers on the list. Also, 220 out of the 329 MPs gave the government a vote of confidence.
