Nasr Alliance MP Nada
Shaker Jawdat revealed that the political blocs and parties have influenced
the formation of the new government, adding that Prime Minister Adil Abdul
Mahdi chose only four ministers of his cabinet.
Jawdat said in a press statement that the intervention of the political blocs and parties to choose ministers reflects the quota system, which will be approved after the eight remaining ministers are settled on.
She added that it is not unexpected that the ministers imposed on Abdul Mahdi by the political blocs would be suspected of corruption or terrorism, calling for there to be a precise mechanism for the nomination of ministers and reviewing their CVs accurately.
