Iraqi army air forces on Tuesday launched air strikes against hotbeds of ISIS terrorist group in the mountains area in Salahuddin governorate.
Operations commander Lt. General Gomaa Saadoun stated that the operation was launched in cooperation with the command of the joint operations, according to the Iraqi Al Ikhbariya channel.
He pointed out that the air strikes also targeted routes used by the terrorists for movement between their outposts.
Combing operations will start later on Tuesday for completely securing these areas, he added
