Trump imposes new sanctions on Iran-backed Hezbollah

US President Donald Trump announced imposing new sanctions on the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, amid the US administration's current efforts to apply economic pressures on Iran, Fox News reported.

On the 35th anniversary of the truck bombing of the barracks in Beirut, Lebanon in 1983, Trump said that Hezbollah carried out the attack, adding that “it was the single deadliest day for the Marines since Iwo Jima."

New US sanctions will be imposed on Iran on November 4. The US expects countries to stop their Iranian oil imports in order to get waivers on sanctions.

Trump announced that sanctions against Iran, which were lifted by the 2015 nuclear deal will be from November 5, to prevent Iran's development of world's deadliest weapons.
