MP Abdul Salam al-Maliki said that the current
form of the law of the Iraq National Oil Company will waste the country's
resources and allow the stealing of its wealth.
Maliki said in a press statement that the company,
according to its current law, owns the country's oil and has the right to act
completely against the country's interests at an abnormal speed in a systematic
stealing of the country's wealth.
He explained that the law contained several clear
violations to the constitution, as the company’s law states that the oil and
gas belongs to the company, instead of the original owners represented in the
Iraqi people.
