Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman,
chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs, chaired Thursday the
first meeting of the ministerial committee to reform the state's intelligence
The meeting came following a royal decree issued by King Salman bin Abdul Aziz. During the meeting, the committee reviewed the reform plan, including an assessment of the current situation, particularly with regard to the organizational structure of the General Intelligence Presidency, the legal frameworks and regulations, policies, procedures, and polarization and rehabilitation mechanisms.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that the committee worked on the necessary recommendations and that it would continue its meetings until the completion of its work.
